It’s time 2 Groom yourself in HR…..

Filed under: Human resources — xraaz @ 4:15 pm

 HR professionals are becoming strategic partners to C-suite executives…..as of now many organizations are undergoing organizational restructuring…however we are in the process of creating a new operating model for human resource so that our department can make more of an impact on business operations….

No doubt, as of now every organization needs HR expertise… In fact most of the top concerns are, in some way manpower challenges …..

It’s good time to be in HR because talent is what will distinguish one company from another; the days of begging to be included in business decisions are over, earlier here in kingdom the jobs in HR were for nationals but now its open to get the right people in the business so they could help determine the strategy, just make sure you equip yourselves well……

The project manager’s strategy is to lead and implement workforce planning to put the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time and at the right cost…..hell lotta work to do further!

HR = High Risk

I just wonder when these people gonna realize the value of HR and start treating employees as an Asset of organization instead of slaves; 70% of workers (labors, technicians, drivers) are form India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Philippines! Here these people are treated as slaves not more than that….

 If we assume that all of a sudden all expatriates step back to their countries; the life in kingdom comes to halt!

 In my point of view every organization should have an strategy to:

                 1.       Hire the right people

                 2.       Understand what motivates your employees

                 3.       Be flexible with time, surfing, dress code…..

                 4.       Retain their best talent

                 5.       Give them opportunity to think out of box

What if valued workers do leave? Don’t be afraid to rehire them when they find out that the grass isn’t really greener elsewhere, ”Keep the doors open for the good ones to come back.”

In my previous project when I first met with Vice President, HR; @ the time of induction process he greeted me by saying, “Welcome to Family”  It touched my Heart, and we moved ahead with work strategy……
